We have seen that it is possible to significantly reduce existing engine exhaust pollution while saving 10%+ Fuel with Water Doping
We have researched water doping over many years with a number of home made systems and commercial products with positive results. We believe that it is now time to design and offer a free Water Doping System design that anyone with basic engineering skills can make
We have started to produce a Blog about some of our early work to enable interested individuals to become aware/involved here we plan to add more to the Blog and this website as the free design evolves.
Water Doping uses waste engine heat energy from the outside of the engine exhaust and the cooling system to produce a fuel enhancing gas/mist from rain water. The mist gently steam cleans the engine combustion chambers removing unwanted carbon and improves the air charge density. The gas is a combustion enhancer. The cleaning and improved combustion improves engine efficiency, which leads to improved fuel economy and reduced emissions (pollution).
Water doping can be applied to virtually any engine application e.g. Cars, Taxis, Vans, minibuses, coaches, trucks (including large Articulated trucks), generators, water pumps, marine engines (fishing boats, cruisers and ferryboats), tractors and other agricultural equipment, earth-moving plant equipment, diesel engine powered railway locomotives.
We have seen reduced emissions (including CO2) produced by internal combustion engines and improved fuel economy by on average 10% for diesel and petrol engines and 5% for LPG fuelled engines.
Why should you care about Exhaust Pollution
The World Health Organisation has classified Diesel smoke as a Group 2A (The agent is probably carcinogenic to humans) hazard cause of Lung Cancer and a Group 1 (The agent is carcinogenic to humans) hazard for other Cancers like bladder cancer.
We have tried to work with official UK bodies for over 5 years to determine exactly how effective Water Doping can be across a whole range of engines, but we have not been taken seriously, so we are now changing our focus to develop a freely available design of water doping device that can be made anywhere with simple equipment (and the right know how).
By offering a free to make system we hope that we can help to target the worst polluting engines first (these are likely to be in older specialist equipment which is still in good condition/fit for its functional purpose that would be expensive to replace, or engines that operate over the longest duty cycles consuming the most fuel and subsequently emitting the most pollution).
We are confident that Water Doping can help businesses and government bodies to cost effectively reduce engine pollution and to achieve their immediate pollution reduction targets without the need for engine replacement.
Water Doping is deceptively simple which make some think that it cant work, it has evolved over decades and has been in used globally for many years. With the possibility of a low cost system for experimentation it is easy to discover the benefits for yourself.
A Water Doping System generally consists of a reservoir, diffuser/injector venturi, the heater/polariser, connecting hoses and assorted mounting items.
The main purpose/benefit of Water Doping is to reduce pollution, but who says this has to be a penalty to the user, we have many delighted customers who enjoy knowing that they are producing less pollution and they also see a saving in fuel due to a cleaner engine being more efficient.
Water Doping systems can be fitted by a semi-skilled vehicle/engine mechanic or "competent" DIY enthusiast in approximately two hours (times will vary depending on the installation and familiarity with the vehicle and the device).
How it works - Water Doping uses rain water (rain water is preferred) or de-mineralised/distilled water. It breaks the rain water down into a humid mist, through a bubbling reservoir and which is drawn onto the exhaust manifold mounted heater which transforms the mist into a gas and superheated steam. The gas/mist (including an increase in Oxygen content) and a reduced charge temperature through mist/wind chill (increase in charge density) acts as a catalyst to enhance combustion of the fuel inside the engine's combustion chamber.
We want to support the growing community who are trying to do something about reducing emissions and fighting the increasing costs of fuel, please use the contact form to get in touch if you would like to become involved with Water Doping Research.
